Energy harmonising
for animals,
at the pace they set.
A gentle, non-invasive practice
Animal Reiki is a technique for harmonising energy. It is given with light touch or no touch at all, without holding the animal and without any equipment to restrain it.
It draws on two practices that do different things. Reiki harmonises and balances; ShenGong works on releasing blockages and accumulated burdens.
It is offered to horses and to companion animals, through recovery, changes of home, or simply as ongoing care.
The animal sets the distance
Nothing is tied, nothing is shut in, and whatever the animal is doing is not interrupted. The session happens in its usual space, with the animal loose.
It can come closer, move away, lie down or leave. Every one of those answers changes the session: the animal sets the distance, and the facilitator works from wherever it allows.
No preparation and no equipment are needed. The animal does not have to stay still for the session to count.
At the animal's pace
Watching
Reading the animal first: how it breathes, how it moves, where it stops and what it turns away from. Nothing begins before that.
Asking
Contact is offered and an answer is awaited. If the animal withdraws, that is an answer too: the session adjusts, or stops.
Accompanying
The animal decides how long it lasts. A session is never stretched to fill a planned time, nor repeated because a calendar says so.
Energy work is not a substitute for veterinary care. At any sign of illness or pain, seeing a vet always comes first.

We do not intervene, we accompany.
We do not force, we allow.
In a session
- Less stress and anxiety.
- Support through illness or recovery.
- Release of accumulated tension.
- Better behaviour and a stronger bond.
- Calm and general balance.
Whatever the size, whatever the age
Reiki can be given to any animal, in any condition. It is especially suited to:
- Animals that have been through stress or trauma.
- Animals that are ill or recovering.
- Animals with anxiety or changes in behaviour.
- Animals in transition, or closing a cycle.
